The Second Annual Party for the Paws
4-7pm at McShane’s Nursery located at 115 Monterey-Salinas Highway in Salinas.
Enjoy food, wine, entertainment, silent auction and raffle prizes at this fun event benefitting AFRP, Salinas Animal Services, Friends of Monterey County Animal Services and Peace of Mind Dog Rescue. Tickets are $25 at the door the day of the event. Click here for more information.
Sunday October 10 – Come Dance for the Rescues
The First Annual Dance for the Rescues – a Zumba Event for the Animals
11:00am to 5:00pm at the Custom House Plaza in Monterey.
This is a FREE dance/music event, open to the public, and will feature food, art & crafts booths, health vendors and pet related product vendors.
If you would like to register as a dancer and collect sponsorship donations from friends and family for dancing (like a walk-a-thon!), email Genevieve. There will be prizes for the dancers who collect the most sponsorship donations.

Sunday October 31 – Abalonetti’s Halloween Party and Costume Contest
Dress up for Halloween with your dog and head down to Abalonetti’s pet-friendly patio for a great time with your two-legged and four-legged friends.
The party takes place on Halloween Day, Sunday October 31 from 1-3pm. Contest judging and raffle drawing at 2:30. Prizes for best dog costume and best owner/dog duo.
Abalonetti’s is located on Fisherman’s Wharf in Monterey. Show your Monterey County Driver License for Two Hours Free Parking in the City Lot.
Proceeds benefit POMDR and AFRP.
Peace of Mind is dedicated to finding new loving homes for dogs whose guardians can no longer care for them due to illness, death, or other challenging circumstances, and to finding homes for senior dogs in animal shelters.
